Now, I’m not a runner, so every year I’m fascinated by the sheer volume of people who flock to our beautiful city to participate in the annual Cooper River Bridge Run. I do appreciate the fact that it’s a unique race for runners across the country to participate in, and I’m proud that Charleston can list it as one of the many things that sets it apart from other cities around the world.
I really enjoy watching all the different ways people approach the run. Some people take it really seriously, and try to the finish the run in the fastest amount of time possible.
Some people treat it more lightheartedly and try to finish the run just to be able to say they did it.
And still others I’m not really sure about.
Cory did a great job this year, finishing in 51.41. We’re all very proud of him!
